The management

Dr Birgit Hagenhoff began her professional career at Philips in Eindhoven after completing her studies in physics and her doctorate in the field of material analysis using mass spectrometry on surfaces (ToF-SIMS). After three years in Philips’ central analytical department, she co-founded tascon GmbH. Over the following 25 years, she has developed the company into one of the leading service providers in the field of surface analysis. She also passes on her many years of experience as a lecturer at the University of Münster. In an honorary capacity, she heads the German DIN’s ISO mirror committee NA 062-08-16 AA ‘Chemical surface analysis and scanning probe microscopy’.

Since 2021, Dr Hagenhoff has shared the management of the company with Dr Danica Heller-Krippendorf. Dr Heller-Krippendorf, also a physicist, completed her doctorate in the field of multivariate data analysis and worked at Infineon for three years before returning to Münster to contribute her expertise to tascon GmbH. She is particularly interested in the development and application of statistical methods for data analysis, including Artificial Intelligence methods.
